It is an open secret I have a wee obsession with flowers, but in this collection I have expanded my body of work to include chunky abstract acrylic paintings celebrating my favorite Texas wildflowers. I have re-released a few rose sculpture paintings still remaining from my "Roses for Mother" and "Way to my Heart" collections, but I now include a few more black rose sculptures. These dark but dazzling statement pieces, which I lovingly refer to as "alt roses", are my favorites in the collection. Why? Because we cannot fully appreciate the light without allowing ourselves to feel a little darkness.
