Yellow Roses - 9" by 11" Mixed Media Painting

The piece that inspired the collection! I've always been a fresh flowers kind of girl, and I recall wishing I had some in my kitchen while scratching this initial sketch out one night at my former home in Danbury, Texas. What's friendlier than a couple of fat yellow roses? 

This mixed media oil pastel piece is framed and double matted in a white shadowbox and glossed with a thin wash of acrylic glaze. It comes with a complimentary set of damage-free wall hanging hardware. 

Unlike most of my other roses, these are best admired in brighter rooms like an entryway or a common room. Works beautifully as a pair with it's sister piece, "Three Rose Bouquet". 9" by 11" Mixed Media Painting, 1" deep.
